Caring For Your Shirts

Having your shirts professionally pressed not only saves time but the finish is superior. Having them professionally laundered on the other hand, can severely shorten their life span as commercial laundries often use hot water and heavy duty detergents.

The best solution is to wash them at home, preferably in cold or warm water, and line dry them. Then take them to greensteam just for the pressing. This will give you the best result and lengthen the life of your clothes and linen.

Generally standard mens business shirts are dampened and pressed on our unipress shirt machine. This process removes any crease and gives a beautiful starched finish.

Smaller shirts or ladies frilled or pleated tops are ironed by hand using our powerful professional equipment as are our doona covers and sheets. We are very proud of the results we achieve hand ironing doona covers as unlike rolling machines we iron around buttons preventing creasing and breakages.

Please help us by not tumble drying clothes or linen bone dry and screwing garments into tight balls as it can make it difficult to remove all creases. Help us by folding or rolling your laundry and avoid over drying.
